Sonoran Desert Tortoise

I was lucky enough to get out of the office this morning and do some Mountain Bike ridding just North of Phoenix on the Black Canyon trail system. It was pure solitude without another sole around for miles. I was lucky enough to see two very large desert tortoise along the way and had to stop and shoot a few photos after all I am a photographer. This makes only five total desert tortoise I have seen out in the wild since moving to Arizona in 1989. My much needed ride was two times better than normal.
