I was out pre-sunrise this morning to shoot more architecture for a client when I turned around and saw this opportunity. This is what I truly love about photography, you never know what your are going to see. Sometimes you have to react quickly and capture the moment. Last night I had a similar experience when all of a sudden two Blue Angle jets flew overhead while approaching the Phoenix airport for landing. As quickly as I could I reacted but just was not able to capture the moment as well as the one this morning. That and the distance was too far away by the time I shot. Must have something to do with the fact that the jets were doing about 10 times the speed of the woman rowing. Or that I saw her approaching and had more time to adjust and get the shot.
